Our Story

River City Pride Festival is one of the largest Pride celebrations in Downstate Illinois, bringing thousands of attendees together each year in the heart of Peoria.

Held on Peoria’s beautiful Riverfront Park, the festival is a full-day, family-friendly celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies. Guests can enjoy world-class entertainment, live music, drag performances, community resources, food vendors, interactive activities, and more in a welcoming and affirming environment for all ages.

With over 120 vendors and organizations participating annually, River City Pride showcases local businesses, artists, nonprofits, and community partners from across Central Illinois and beyond.

Hosted by Peoria Proud, the festival promotes visibility, inclusion, education, advocacy, and community connection while creating a safe and joyful space where everyone is encouraged to come exactly as they are.
